The Indonesian Diaspora Foundation (IDF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization born from the belief that our identity does not end at the border. We are Indonesians — and friends of Indonesia — living and thriving around the world, carrying our roots wherever we go.
IDF exists to bridge communities, create opportunities, and deliver meaningful change — for the diaspora abroad and for the people of Indonesia at home. Our work spans cultural preservation, community empowerment, and global philanthropy, reaching individuals and communities wherever the need is greatest.

Let me be honest with you.
Giving back the way most of us do, a donation here, a helping hand there, it feels good. But it never feels like enough. Because the need is so much greater than any one of us can meet alone.
That longing to do more is what led me to IDF.
Living abroad as an Indonesian comes with a quiet weight. The opportunities available here are not available to so many back home. And the further life takes you from the land that shaped you, the stronger its pull becomes. Not just as a memory, but as a responsibility.
When the call came to lead the Indonesian Diaspora Foundation, there was hesitation. So much already on the plate. So many questions about whether this was the right time, the right fit, the right commitment.
So there was prayer. A genuine ask: is this my calling? Is this the path meant for me?
The answer came back clear, quiet, and undeniable.
Serve.
And so here we are.
IDF needed new energy, new direction, and people willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work. That is exactly what we are here to do. Our heart is to invest in the next generation of Indonesians in vulnerable and unreached communities. To preserve and celebrate our extraordinary culture and share it with the world. To respond when disaster strikes. And as we grow, to extend that same compassion to all people who need a global community to stand with them.
We are rebuilding. Humbly, intentionally, and one step at a time. But we are moving forward, and we would love for you to move forward with us.

President of the Indonesian Diaspora Foundation and an entrepreneur with a background in finance, real estate, and charitable leadership focused on education and cultural preservation.
Treasurer/Secretary
Founder and Vice President of Business Development at Alveri, with over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and global partnership development across the telecommunications and technology industries.
Director of Fundraising
A commercial real estate and business brokerage professional specializing in retail and restaurant properties across Southern California, with extensive leadership experience in real estate organizations and community-focused board service.
Director of Program
Born in Yogyakarta and raised in Los Angeles, he is a graphic designer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in branding, apparel, and consumer products.

A business executive and investor serving as CEO of International Merchants, L.L.C. and managing general partner of Palapa Ventures, with extensive experience in manufacturing, automotive, and venture capital industries.

A professor at Louisiana State University and President of the worldwide Indonesian Diaspora Network–United, bringing leadership in innovation and global diaspora engagement to advance the Foundation’s mission.
